Job summary

Blackstone is seeking an Associate for Private Equity Valuations & Analytics to support the valuation, monitoring, and reporting of portfolio investments. You will build and update valuation models, coordinate with external firms, and present results to committees and partners.

The role requires 3+ years in valuations or related analytical roles, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with ASC 820. This is a full-time position based in the US with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar discipline (CFA and/or CPA a plus)
• 3+ years of experience in valuations, transaction services, a private equity fund, consulting, or other relevant analytical roles
• Experience with ASC 820 and valuation approaches (Income, Market, Yield, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal skills, high EQ, and ability to interact with deal professionals, Asset Management, and portfolio company reps
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Prepare valuation models reviews, presentations for leaders, and ad-hoc deliverables
• Update valuation templates each quarter, including DCF, PM, and other valuation models
• Apply valuation methodologies in line with Blackstone’s valuation policy and external guidance
• Drive onboarding process for new portfolio investments and ensure data collection procedures
• Respond to auditor inquiries and coordinate valuation reviews with third party valuation firms
• Drive enhancements to valuations and reporting processes, offshore resources, and use of technology
• Manage creation and development of presentation materials to communicate results within Private Equity and Blackstone
• Assist in presenting valuation results to internal committees, external auditors, and limited partners
• Work with Private Equity Management Reporting to provide inputs for planning deliverables
• Maintain relationships with deal professionals, Institutional Client Services, Portfolio Operations, Accounting, Operations, and Finance teams
