Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA seeks a Sr. Sourcing Specialist for PCB/PCBA (Starshield) to own demand planning and strategic sourcing for hardware in satellites. You’ll drive end-to-end supply chain execution, balancing cost, quality, and lead time while scaling production for the Starshield constellation.

On-site role with travel up to 25%, ITAR requirements apply, and attractive total rewards including medical, 401(k), and generous time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management, or engineering.
• Or 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning, production planning, supply chain management in lieu of a degree.
• PCB/PCBA and electrical components procurement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies with key suppliers.
• Aggregate the demand picture for hardware to support Starshield satellite constellation.
• Act as supplier interface for RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
• Run RFX processes with internal stakeholders and implement sourcing decisions.
• Manage costs to meet project budgets and forecasts.
• Develop should-cost models for cost analysis.
• Ensure supplier readiness for prototype builds and mass production.
• Drive process improvements with suppliers to save costs.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives on contract awards and cost reviews.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
• Implement analytics to manage supplier performance.
