Retail Innovation Inc. in Boston, MA seeks a Payroll Specialist to lead complex payroll and finance reporting. This role partners with auditors, HR, and finance to ensure accurate, timely compliance and decision support.

You will own profitability analysis by product, region, and customer segment, and guide revenue recognition under current standards while collaborating on compensation planning. This is a pivotal, long-term finance position rooted in a fast-growing software-inspired company.

Qualifications

• Experience with payroll processes and governance.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data for senior leadership.
• Strong communication with auditors and finance teams.

Responsabilités

• Track grant funding, restricted accounts, and compliance reporting
• Walk auditors through documentation so clean it answers itself
• Conduct profitability analysis by product, region, and customer segment
• Validate revenue recognition in line with current accounting standards
• Forecast headcount costs and partner with HR on compensation planning
• Tighten the revenue-recognition policy as new finance deals get complex
• Generate ad hoc reports combining Accounts Payable and KPI Reporting for finance leadership
• Trace a single transaction end to end when the numbers stop tying
