Job summary

Wings Credit Union seeks a Payroll Manager to lead all payroll operations for a multi-state workforce, ensuring accurate, compliant delivery and effective reporting. You will develop the payroll team and partner with HR, HRIS, Benefits, and Accounting to drive process improvements and strong employee experience.

The role requires 5+ years in payroll, 1+ year supervisory experience, and strong knowledge of payroll regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or similar field preferred.
5+ years' progressive payroll processing experience including multi-state payroll operations required.
1+ years' supervisory or management experience required.
2+ years' experience with benefits coordination of PTO and FMLA/STD/LTD for employees on leave preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, develop, and mentor Payroll team members with a culture of accountability and exceptional service.
Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain talent and establish performance expectations.
Provide leadership through organizational changes, process improvements, system enhancements, and business initiatives.
Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll-related issues and complex payroll matters.
Promote continuous improvement and effective partnership across the organization.
