Job summary

IPL Schoeller is seeking a Payroll Manager- North America to lead payroll operations across multiple U.S. sites, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

You will drive process improvements, system upgrades, and analytics, partnering with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to optimize data quality and service levels. A distributed team will benefit from your leadership and coaching, with 5+ years of payroll leadership and CPP/FPC preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive payroll leadership experience.
• Experience managing multi-site and international payroll operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and compliance requirements.
• Proven success leading payroll system implementations, upgrades, or integrations.
• Experience with ADP, Workday, SAP, or Oracle in payroll/HRIS.
• Advanced Excel and payroll reporting capabilities.
• Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
• Professional payroll certification (CPP, FPC, CIPP, IPASS, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience in a shared services or global business services environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing across multiple sites and jurisdictions.
• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee audits, reporting, and year-end payroll activities.
• Drive payroll system upgrades, integrations, and automation initiatives.
• Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to improve payroll operations and data accuracy.
• Establish and monitor payroll KPIs and service levels.
• Analyze payroll data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
• Lead, coach, and develop a geographically dispersed payroll team.
