Job summary

Kairoi in Texas is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Manager to lead and optimize the companywide payroll processing and benefits administration. You will ensure accurate, compliant payroll cycles, manage benefits programs, and partner with HRIS vendors to drive improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and extensive knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations, ACA, ERISA, and related laws. A Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, accounting, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive payroll and benefits experience.
• Experience with payroll systems, HRIS, and benefits platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll laws and regulations (FLSA, ERISA, ACA).
• Valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement payroll and benefits strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Manage full payroll cycle including processing, tax reporting, and compliance.
• Administer all employee benefits programs and leave management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll/benefits laws.
• Maintain accurate employee records in payroll and HRIS systems.
• Prepare and analyze payroll/benefits reports and audits.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll/benefits inquiries and vendor relations.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise payroll and benefits staff.
