Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the United States seeks a Payments Negotiation Attorney to provide transactional and strategic legal support for client negotiations in wholesale payments.

You will advise on transaction structures, regulatory issues, and collaborate to maintain templates, playbooks, and negotiation tools that scale best practices. You will help protect the firm while enabling clients to achieve business objectives and work with product counsel and other legal teams across the Payments

Qualifications

• Law degree and active license in the country of employment by start date.
• 3 years of experience at a major law firm, financial institution, or in a judicial clerkship.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of banking law, including UCC Articles 4 and 4A.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate wholesale payments client documentation.
• Advise on transaction structures and regulatory issues.
• Coordinate with product counsel to maintain templates and playbooks.
• Support development of negotiation technology tools to improve speed and quality.
• Review customer documentation for clarity and compliance.
• Partner with stakeholders to align guidance with business needs and risk standards.
• Identify recurring themes and update templates and processes.
