Job summary

California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks an Assistant Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations to develop and manage a portfolio of corporate and private foundation prospects. You will identify opportunities, craft competitive proposals, and steward relationships to advance strategic fundraising aligned with the university's priorities.

You will collaborate with leadership, faculty, and staff, and lead grant submissions and compliance, with a focus on securing impactful

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Must be able to travel locally to meet with prospective donors.
• Proficiency with CRM databases and grant research databases.

Responsibilities

• Build and independently manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects, driving all phases of the development life cycle; secure annual renewals and new investments.
• Collaborate with faculty to research, write, coordinate, and submit grant applications, proposals, and letters of inquiry, focusing on entry- and mid-level awards from $10,000 to $75,000.
• Lead prospect cultivation and stewardship activities, campus visits, meetings, presentation materials, and CFR communications.
