Job summary

The University of La Verne is seeking a Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to lead identification and pursuit of funding from corporations and foundations. You will steward existing partnerships and work with university leadership to align fundraising with strategic priorities.

In collaboration with Advancement leadership, you will develop grants, manage a CFR program, and ensure timely reporting while coordinating with the Office of Government Relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience in higher education or similar public sector work.
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and serve internal/external constituents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and cultivate long-term partnerships with corporate and foundation funders to support university goals.
• Lead business development and relationship management for a portfolio of top partners and prospects.
• Manage a portfolio of prospects and identify new funders aligned with institutional needs.
• Develop, prepare, and submit proposals and supporting materials to funders to generate ~$1M in annual funding.
• Oversee CFR program elements and supervise the CFR Associate Director.
• Support stewardship activities and maintain a grant calendar with deadlines.
• Stay current on best practices in corporate partnerships and foundation giving; educate faculty and staff.
