Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson seeks a Director of Strategic Partnerships to drive growth and deepen community impact by pursuing expansion opportunities and building strong partnerships with schools, government, businesses, and funders.

In this exempt, salaried role, you will lead advocacy efforts, develop funding strategies, and coordinate cross-functional teams to align external opportunities with BGCC priorities across the greater Los Angeles area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years’ work experience in a nonprofit organization setting.
• At least three years’ work experience in government relations, advocacy, or education/youth development funding.
• Demonstrated ability to work in communities with diverse populations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular travel in the LA metro area.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and pursue growth opportunities with schools, municipalities, and community partners.
• Lead business development activities and negotiations with public officials, education leaders, and businesses.
• Establish and lead interagency partnerships across education, youth services, workforce development, and public funding.
• Analyze communities, maintain a partnerships pipeline, and recommend expansion opportunities based on need and impact.
• Cultivate relationships with community-based and faith-based groups, neighborhoods, and public officials.
