Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Carson seeks a strategic Vice President of Finance to guide financial direction for its programs across Carson, Watts, and South Los Angeles. The role reports to the CEO and drives accurate reporting, strong controls, and responsible stewardship of public and private funds.

The role oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial operations, advising the CEO, Board, and program leaders on resource allocation, risk, and growth. This is a salaried, exempt leadership position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related field.
• At least eight years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including three years leading a finance function or team.
• Demonstrated nonprofit finance expertise, including grants, contracts, budgeting, forecasting, and audits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on sustainability, performance, risk, growth, financing options, and major decisions.
• Lead long-range planning, scenario modeling, cash-flow forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the general ledger, payables, receivables, cash receipts, banking, purchasing, payroll coordination, fixed assets, reconciliations, and year-end close.
