Job summary

Plaid is seeking a Senior Partnerships professional to build and manage external data partnerships that power the Credit products. You will identify and prioritize partners, negotiate complex agreements, and work closely with Product and Engineering to translate needs into market-ready data capabilities.

With 10+ years in the field and experience in fintech or data businesses, you will drive the full partnership lifecycle and scale successful collaborations across strategic ecosystems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in data partnerships, product partnerships, business development, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, credit, or data businesses.
• Track record of sourcing, structuring, and negotiating complex strategic and commercial partnerships.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to build a broader partner ecosystem and work with technical teams on data integration.

Job description

• In this role, you will build and manage the external data partnerships that power Plaid’s Credit products
• The partner ecosystem is broad and includes traditional credit data providers, alternative data providers, financial infrastructure companies, and other sources of differentiated data and insights
• You will work closely with Product and Engineering to understand where new data can improve existing products or unlock entirely new capabilities
• You will identify and prioritize partners, develop creative commercial structures, and negotiate complex agreements that balance product, economic, and strategic considerations
• Data Strategy: Identify and prioritize external data partnerships that improve Plaid’s Credit products, insights, and roadmap
• Product Partnership: Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate product needs into partnership opportunities and bring new data capabilities to market
• Deal Execution: Lead the full partnership lifecycle – from market mapping and sourcing through diligence, structuring, negotiation, and execution
• Partner Growth: Grow partnerships from initial integration through scaled usage, continually identifying opportunities to expand their impact
