Job summary

Plaid is seeking an experienced Partnerships leader to build and manage external data partnerships that power Plaid’s Credit products. You will work with Product, Engineering, and external data providers to unlock new capabilities and improve risk insights.

You will lead strategy, sourcing, diligence, and negotiations, scaling partnerships from integration to adoption, while shaping a broader partner ecosystem across financial services and data providers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in data partnerships, product partnerships, business development, or a related field.
• Experience working in financial services, fintech, credit, or data businesses.
• Track record of sourcing, structuring, and negotiating complex strategic and commercial partnerships.
• Strong product orientation and ability to work closely with technical teams on complex data and integration topics.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to build a broader partner ecosystem, not just execute individual deals.
• Excitement about using differentiated data to improve lending decisions and expand access to credit.
• Demonstrated ability to succeed in dynamic, high-growth environments where roles and processes are still being defined.

Responsibilities

• Data Strategy: Identify and prioritize external data partnerships that improve Plaid’s Credit products, insights, and roadmap.
• Product Partnership: Work closely with Product and Engineering to translate product needs into partnership opportunities and bring new data capabilities to market.
• Deal Execution: Lead the full partnership lifecycle – from market mapping and sourcing through diligence, structuring, negotiation, and execution.
• Partner Growth: Grow partnerships from initial integration through scaled usage, continually identifying opportunities to expand their impact.
