Strategic Partnership Manager

We’re hiring a Strategic Partnership Manager to drive Adyen’s North American Technology Partnerships program. In this pivotal role, you’ll cultivate relationships with global and regional tech platforms, optimize our GTM efforts with partners, and scale the Commercial Engine. You’ll oversee existing partnerships, identify new opportunities, and negotiate strategic terms. As a bridge between partners and internal teams, your seamless execution and thought leadership will elevate our partners’ success. Our portfolio includes industry giants like Adobe, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, Zuora, and more.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in partnership management within the Payments ecosystem, exceptional negotiation skills, and a keen commercial awareness to turn opportunities into impactful collaborations. The candidate must be able to influence at the C-suite level and be comfortable owning and delivering on commercial KPIs, such as driving top-of-funnel leads, ensuring margin is put live, facilitating best-in-class integrations, and executing Go-to-Market strategies, embodying the Adyen Formula.

What You’ll Do
  • Cultivate Relationships: Build and nurture strong partnerships with global and regional technology platforms across verticals.
  • Optimize GTM Efforts: Strategize and execute partnership initiatives aligned with our objectives to enhance our go-to-market strategies.
  • Negotiate Strategic Terms: Oversee existing partnerships and identify new opportunities, ensuring terms align with our strategic goals.
  • Bridge Communication: Act as a liaison between partners and internal teams, facilitating seamless execution and communication.
  • Thought Leadership: Provide insights into the evolving Payments ecosystem to contribute to our partners’ and organization’s success.
  • Innovation: Demonstrate Adyen's cutting-edge financial technology solutions.
  • Product: Ensure technical integrations support partnerships, enabling merchants to access the full suite of Adyen and partner products.
  • Collaboration: Work with global partnerships and sales teams by attending meetings with existing and potential partners and customers.
  • Self-starter: Thrive in an environment requiring self-direction and goal focus.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 30%+ of the time.
Who You Are
  • 7-10 years of experience in a partnership-facing role, exceeding commercial KPIs.
  • Proven success in building and leveraging partnerships within the Payments ecosystem, working with strategic tech platforms like Adobe, Chargebee, Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience with, and passion for, GTM and product strategy; comfortable with deep product details and market needs.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a global and commercial perspective on channel management.
  • Strategic thinker with a bias for action, comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with autonomy in a flat organization.
  • Desire to engage with cross-functional teams across Product, Strategy, Sales, and Marketing.
  • This role is based in our San Francisco office.
  • Full-time position, minimum 40 hours/week, with at least 3 days in-office.
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
