Job summary

Yale-New Haven Hospital seeks a Director of Protective Services & Parking & Transit to lead parking, shuttle operations, and the Transportation Demand Management program in New Haven.

You will manage a multi-million dollar budget, oversee vendor contracts, ensure compliance with Joint Commission and fire codes, and partner with city authorities to optimize services for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred in related field.
• 5-7 years of parking/transportation management experience.
• Certified Parking Professional credential is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with the Director to discuss parking and budget issues and create corrective action plans.
• Monitor Transportation Demand Management strategies and increase employee participation.
• Oversee shuttle routes, ridership, and vendor performance for cost-effective services.
• Address customer complaints promptly and improve satisfaction through innovative ideas.
• Coordinate with the Parking and Shuttle service management group on service quality.
• Visit locations to ensure contract compliance with service levels.
• Liaise with city authorities and Parking Authority as needed.
• Ensure project alignment with fire codes, Joint Commission, and hospital policies.
