Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. has been engaged to fill a Buyer II, Outside Processing role in Buena Park, CA. This full-time, onsite position focuses on coordinating external finishing and special process vendors to keep production on schedule.

The ideal candidate will manage purchase orders, vendor commitments, and delivery schedules while collaborating with Planning, Operations, Quality, Receiving, and Shipping in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience purchasing in manufacturing, ideally involving outside processing or supplier coordination.
• Experience creating and managing purchase orders and working with suppliers on pricing, specs, lead times, and issue resolution.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to organize and track multiple orders, commitments, priorities, and delivery dates.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and coordinate outside processing services through approved suppliers.
• Create, maintain, and close purchase orders in the ERP system with accurate data.
• Monitor outside processing and coordinate vendor releases based on deadlines and production needs.
• Expedite delayed or at-risk orders and coordinate receiving, inspection, and routing.
• Forecast upcoming outside processing demand and support supplier capacity and pricing initiatives.
