Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles, CA, is seeking an experienced Manager of Organizational Development and Employee Engagement to lead coaching, training design, leadership programs, and succession planning across the organization.

The role partners with HR and senior leaders to drive continuous improvement, engagement, and staff development, designing just-in-time trainings, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring programs align with MLKCH’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business administration, psychology or related field.
• Master’s degree in human resources management, organizational development, applied behavioral sciences, business administration or industrial organizational psychology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as advisor to organizational members; coach individuals and managers on effective actions and perspectives.
• Provide coaching, facilitation, team development, and organization development services with HR and leadership.
• Collaborate with HR to optimize resource use and outcomes for clients.
• Design and deliver just-in-time training modules; develop training programs.
• Lead organization leadership programs (Leadership Development Institute, Essential Leaders, etc.).
• Create tools to improve values-based competencies and alignment with goals.
• Evaluate quality of work; design and report outcomes to stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain comprehensive training programs for employee development.
• Demonstrate excellent facilitation and course development skills.
• Show continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork, and leadership development.
