Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Certified Operating Room Tech to prepare sterile supplies and maintain a sterile field during procedures, ensuring timely delivery of instruments to the surgeon.

The role requires an ORT training background or equivalent experience, current Certified Surgical Technologist credential, and BLS certification. Experience across GYN, general, plastics, ortho, neuro, ENT, and Uro procedures is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years' experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (GYN, General and Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty areas (ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• The Certified Operating Room Tech is responsible for the preparation of sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining sterile field during case and providing surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
