Job summary

Oakland Unified School District seeks a Director of Program Improvement in the Chief of Operations Office to lead and coordinate system development for lead remediation and heat mitigation initiatives. Immediate start, full-time, with a salary in the posted range.

You will oversee project management, staff coordination, data-driven decision making, and engagement with school communities and the Board to advance the Facilities Master Plan and district-wide improvements.

Qualifications

• Project management principles and methodologies.
• Organizational development and change management principles and practices.
• Applicable federal, state, and District codes, regulations, policies and procedures governing work scope.
• Experience implementing successful process improvement projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise special projects in the Operations Division.
• Manage data, dashboards and reporting for progress monitoring.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives across the District.
• Collaborate with multiple divisions to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Communicate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff to achieve goals and timelines.
