The Bureau of the Fiscal Service in Birmingham, AL seeks a Strategic Operations Program Analyst to analyze programs, report findings to management, implement new methods, and help set long-range plans for the organization.

Key duties include monitoring programs, researching requirements, evaluating legislation and policies, presenting recommendations in writing and briefings, and assessing Treasury securities programs to inform management decisions.

This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Wholesale Systems Division. As a Strategic Operations Program Analyst, you will analyze the efficiency and effectiveness of programs, report findings and make recommendations to management officials, implement new methods and procedures, and formulate long-range plans for the assigned organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Operations Program Analyst, you will: Manage a variety of programs to include monitoring existing plans, developing mechanisms to project future program requirements and needs, keeping abreast of and conducting research relevant to programs, developing long-range goals for the major program elements and plans to accomplish long-range goals.

Analyze, evaluate, and determine the impact of new or proposed legislation, regulations, and policies affecting programs; recommends and implements proper method(s) of satisfying requirements; and presents options to management in written products and oral briefings. Conduct broad, complex studies affecting the relationship between Fiscal Service, other agencies, and the Federal Reserve System (FRS).

Present findings, conclusions, and recommendations to management officials in both oral and written form. Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout Fiscal Service, Treasury, other agencies, and the private sector on job related matters, both orally and in writing. Analyze current and projected Treasury securities programs to provide management with high fidelity data and information necessary to effectively administer them.
