Job summary

Itron is seeking a Business Operations Specialist to optimize end-to-end operations across planning, supply chain, and delivery. You will act as a key connector across teams, driving visibility, improving processes, and aligning execution with customer outcomes.

You will transform operational data into actionable insights, support decision-making, and remove roadblocks to enhance performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in business operations, supply chain, planning, or a related role within a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights that drive accountable and customer-focused outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively across cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with business and operational tools, including Excel for data analysis and reporting, ERP/MRP or similar enterprise systems, Dashboard and reporting tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and authentically.
• Experience creating and maintaining structured documentation, including processes, SOPs, and reporting artifacts.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize end-to-end business operations across a cross-functional environment, aligning planning, supply chain, delivery, and execution.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations, improve visibility into priorities, commitments, and performance, and reinforce accountability.
• Own and support operating rhythms, including KPI reviews, performance reporting, and action tracking.
• Analyze operational data across demand/supply, order execution, delivery, inventory, and service-level metrics to identify trends and risks.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations to improve performance and customer outcomes.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercial teams to drive coordinated execution.
• Help resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and ensure alignment to deliver against objectives in an agile manner.
• Serve as a liaison between functions, promoting clear communication and ownership of outcomes.
• Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to streamline workflows and improve consistency.
• Support development and maintenance of SOPs, playbooks, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and forecasting/planning activities, including UCDP inputs and trade-offs.
• Provide leadership with summaries of performance, risks, constraints, and opportunities for timely decision-making.
• Learn SOPs and training materials to support consistent execution.
• Proactively identify risks that could impact delivery, escalating with impact assessments.
