Job summary

Itron is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to direct development and execution of production activities, aligning with cost and quality targets. The role requires strategic planning, program management, and collaboration across disciplines to enable production and revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of direct operational leadership experience.
• Experience implementing Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with semi-automated or fully automated production lines.
• Planning, forecasting, and budgeting experience.
• Strong root cause analysis skillset.
• Hands-on experience of managing complex and inter-related manufacturing operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans and objectives in accordance with overall company strategy.
• Make final decisions on administrative or operational matters.
• Influence senior leadership via verbal or in-person presentations.
• Maintain budgets, productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Manage capacity and resource planning, material planning, budgeting and capital investments.
• Ensure all products delivered meet customer requirements in terms of schedule and quality.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts and foster a culture of improvement.
• Evaluate investments in technology, equipment or systems to enhance production capability.
• Own responsible area and drive all targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Volume).
• Drive plant metrics and safety within the department.
• Team building of direct reports and hourly workers.
• Level-load and properly plan scheduling with all resources.
• Coordinate with quality, manufacturing engineering, scheduling, buying, R&D.
