Responsibilities

• SCHEDULING: Obtains and accurately inputs all required data for scheduling and registration, including demographics, financials, guarantor info, and encounter notes.
• CUSTOMER FOCUS: Greets patients courteously, calls patients by name, and represents the Surgery department professionally.
• ERRORS: Minimizes errors in scheduling/insurance verification and uses policy to reduce error rates.
• EDUCATION: Provides focused education for staff and coordinates new hire training; ensures Healthstream education is completed timely.
• OTHER: Assists in disasters, supports department to meet performance targets, and completes required training.
