Dow in the United States is seeking a Sourcing Manager for Ocean Transportation based in Midland, MI or Houston, TX. You will manage global logistics services, apply strategic sourcing, negotiate with providers, and lead supplier performance to maximize value.

This role requires strong analytics, market insight, and the ability to mentor colleagues. You will develop sourcing strategies, coordinate with internal partners, and drive cost reductions while ensuring supply security across Dow’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or military equivalent for U.S. E5 or Canadian rank.
• 10+ years of relevant working experience in Logistics Purchasing or Supply Chain will be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in Logistics Purchasing or Supply Chain; ocean industry experience preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
• Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsabilités

• Source and manage a portfolio of international trade logistics services to improve Dow's cost position and supply security in the market through application of the strategic sourcing process.
• Provide input to the global logistics buying strategy for international trade logistics (dry box, ISO, Flexi, dray).
• Implement the purchasing strategy in North America and support global activities.
• Utilize business acumen and analytics to drive value from the market and influence stakeholders.
• Acts as a change agent to transform the strategic sourcing organization.
• Prepares market intelligence report and insights for internal constituents.
• Responsible for the negotiation, execution and implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the commercial area and/or geography.
• Provide coaching and guidance to other sourcing team members.
• May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives locally or globally.
