Dow in Houston is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join the Operations Material & Equipment Sourcing Team. You will engage with clients to ensure sourcing needs are identified and that supplier performance meets expectations. You will also negotiate purchases and manage supplier relationships to support strategic objectives.

The role requires analytical acumen, strong negotiation and collaboration skills, and proficiency with SAP/Ariba and related sourcing tools. Relocation is not provided.

Qualifikationen

• A bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5/Canadian rank; or at least 8 years of relevant working experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.

Aufgaben

• Develop knowledge of the supply market and suppliers.
• Conduct strategic sourcing projects including market analysis and strategy development.
• Negotiate, execute and implement commercial agreements per geography and strategy.
• Manage supplier relationships, including the commercial relationship.
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs.
• Engage with stakeholders to clarify scope, quality, and requirements for contracts.
• Investigate and facilitate Quality, Service and Product Performance (QSPP).
• Analyze data to identify improvements in vendor and spend coding.
• Utilize e-Sourcing tools (e.g., Zycus) to improve purchasing efficiency.
