Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding seeks a Global Ocean Freight Tender Manager to lead end-to-end RFQ processes for high-value, multi-country opportunities. The role coordinates across Commercial, Ocean Freight Trade/LCL, and regional teams to craft competitive, executable tender responses that align with win strategies and governance.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in ocean freight with tender leadership experience, exceptional English communication, and strong analytical and pricing system skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in Ocean Freight forwarding industry.
• At least 4 years in tender management or pricing leadership roles.
• Excellent English communication (written and oral).
• Ability to travel internationally (approx. 20%).
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and pricing system experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tender process for strategic global ocean freight RFQs from qualification through submission.
• Coordinate inputs across origin/destination countries, trade teams, and pricing contributors.
• Ensure compliance with customer instructions, templates, and timelines.
• Develop win strategies by aggregating customer requirements, market insights, and network strengths.
• Deliver high-quality submissions and support handover to implementation.
• Provide SME input on market dynamics and offer structure.
