Job summary

Noatum Logistics is seeking a Director of Pricing, Ocean Freight to lead our ocean pricing function across global lanes. This role manages RFQ/RFP processes, pricing governance, and margin improvement, partnering with Sales and Operations to optimize profitability.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in ocean freight pricing and 3+ years in leadership, with strong analytical capabilities and experience with pricing tools such as CargoWise and WebCargo. Based in Chicago, Houston, or Miami.

Qualifications

8+ years of ocean freight forwarding, NVOCC, pricing, procurement, or trade management experience.
3+ years of leadership experience.
Deep understanding of carrier contracts, surcharges, tariffs, Incoterms, and global trade lanes.
Strong analytical, financial, and negotiation skills.
Experience supporting major customer bids and strategic pricing initiatives.
Knowledge of CargoWise, CargoSphere, WebCargo, and pricing management tools is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead Ocean Freight pricing strategy across key import and export trade lanes.
Oversee RFQ, RFP, and tender pricing for strategic accounts.
Drive pricing governance, margin performance, and rate integrity.
Partner with Sales, Ocean Product, Trade Management, Operations, and Global Tender teams.
Develop analytics, KPIs, and reporting to improve win rates and profitability.
Lead and mentor a high-performing pricing team.
Leverage market intelligence to stay ahead of capacity, pricing, and service trends.
