Qualifications

• Experience as director of nursing required.
• Knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQI in patient care.
• Understanding of budgeting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
• Willingness to keep up with changing standards in nursing administration.
• Excellent leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, etc.).
• Guide staffing procedures and set objectives for the nursing department.
• Organize admission, nursing and patient care procedures.
• Develop and enforce policies for legal compliance and quality standards.
• Control budgets and monitor expenditures.
• Resolve issues and deficiencies promptly.
• Manage record-keeping procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations.
• Report to upper management.
