Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Director of Nursing to provide organization-wide leadership, coordination, and oversight of nursing services across all Center programs. You will ensure safe, effective nursing care aligned with professional standards and regulatory requirements, while guiding education, staffing, and quality initiatives.

This role requires a Master’s in Nursing or active pursuit, Rhode Island RN licensure, and 3–5 years of behavioral health leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required or actively pursuing preferred.
• Rhode Island RN licensure required.
• 3–5 years of behavioral health experience with leadership preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational leadership skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide organization-wide nursing leadership across Center programs to ensure safe, effective care.
• Oversee Nurse Educator functions including training, supervision, and competency development.
• Monitor staffing needs and ensure adequate nursing coverage across programs.
• Direct day-to-day nursing practices and ensure compliance with BHDDH, CCBHC, and regulatory standards.
• Lead medication management practices and nursing documentation for accuracy and safety.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop education, quality improvement, and professional development initiatives.
