Job summary

CommQuest Services, Inc. in Canton, OH is seeking a Full-time Controller to lead the Finance department. You will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive accurate financial reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.

You will manage the accounting team, coordinate budgeting and forecasting, strengthen internal controls, and partner with program leaders to support mission-critical services and audits for multiple grant programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and publish monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in GAAP.
• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, GL maintenance, and month-end close.
• Coordinate annual budget creation and monitor variances; analyze cash flow.
• Develop and document internal controls to minimize risk and support audits.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team.
• Other duties as assigned.
