Job summary

Randstad USA’s Business Administration & Operations team is partnering with a nationally recognized nonprofit in Washington, DC to recruit a hands-on Controller. You will own the financial infrastructure, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and drive scalable growth while reporting to the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer.

Initially an individual contributor, you will handle AP, AR, payroll, closes, and internal controls, partnering on budgeting, forecasts, and grant reporting to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; active CPA license required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (GL, closes, audits). Nonprofit accounting, grant tracking, and Form 990 experience required.
• Expertise in QuickBooks Online, advanced Excel, hands-on operational mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, cash management, and chart of accounts, ensuring GAAP and nonprofit standards.
• Prepare timely financial statements, dashboards, and budget-to-actual analyses for leadership and Board.
