Job summary

An international nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Controller to oversee daily accounting functions across global offices and prepare financial statements and audits. The ideal candidate should have a BA in accounting or finance and at least 8 years of experience in a similar role within a nonprofit environment. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and requires exceptional accounting skills along with leadership abilities. An opportunity to travel to HQ in Prague is also included.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a Controller or equivalent Senior Finance position in a U.S. nonprofit/NGO environment.
• Demonstrated work experience in a nonprofit setting is mandatory.
• CPA is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions in global offices.
• Document and implement an internal control system.
• Prepare annual financial statements and audits according to GAAP.
