Job summary

Santé Group seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to guide financial operations for a growing Maryland nonprofit behavioral health organization. You will partner with the CEO and Board to shape long-term financial strategy and ensure sustainable funding across grants, Medicaid, and contracts.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, audits, and internal controls, while building a high-performing finance team and delivering clear reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant senior financial leadership experience in nonprofit/healthcare/human services.
• Experience managing grants, government funding, Medicaid reimbursement, audits, and nonprofit financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• CPA or Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and Board to develop and execute the organization's long-term financial strategy.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, and monthly close processes.
• Oversee accounting operations, annual audits, internal controls, and financial compliance.
• Manage grant funding, Medicaid reimbursement, government contracts, and restricted funding requirements.
• Build and develop a high-performing finance team while supporting leaders across the organization with sound financial guidance.
• Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting to executive leadership and the Board.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen financial sustainability and support organizational growth.
