Behavioral-Health-Response in Missouri seeks a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial functions and guide growth in a nonprofit setting.

The CFO will oversee accounting, budgeting, audits, grant accounting, and reporting to the Board and funders, driving transparent financial governance and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in finance, nonprofit experience, CPA or Master’s, and proficiency with SAGE and ADP payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred)
• Analytical and communication skills required
• Strong organizational abilities and leadership experience in finance

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing functions across multiple sites and contracts
• Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies
• Ensure GAAP and nonprofit regulatory compliance
• Prepare and present financial statements to Board and funders using clear visuals
• Manage cash flow, investments, and risk; oversee insurance programs
• Supervise finance staff including payroll and accounts payable/receivable
• Lead annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
• Oversee grant accounting including pre- and post-award management and reporting
• Collaborate with executive leadership on financial planning and program expansion
