Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, reporting, and controls across its multi-funded programs. The CFO will partner with executive leadership to ensure sustainable funding, compliance, and fiscal health for a wide range of services including FQHC and Head Start.

The role requires at least 10 years of progressive financial leadership in complex environments, with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Experience in complex nonprofit, healthcare, community action, or government-funded environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; an advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting and finance functions and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Develop and administer financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee federal, state, local, and private grants and ensure proper allocation of funds.
• Monitor financial performance of the FQHC and related programs, including revenue-cycle and compliance requirements.
• Lead the annual audit, Single Audit, and file Form 990.
• Provide financial leadership to CEO/COO and Board, and oversee a six-person Finance Department.
• Oversee the financial systems, including MIP Fund Accounting, for accurate reporting and grant management.
