Job summary

Capper Foundation seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and administration in support of the nonprofit mission. The role participates in Executive Team discussions, oversees GAAP-compliant financial operations, and ensures accurate reporting for multiple entities and grant programs.

The CFO will coordinate audits, manage budgets, and act as liaison to regulatory agencies, while upholding high integrity and organizational values.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of financial accounting and management experience.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting; master’s degree preferred.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves on the Executive Team to develop strategic/operational plans and monitor programs.
• Directs financial operations in accordance with GAAP for Capper Foundation and related entities.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports reflecting services and activities.
• Coordinates annual audits to ensure timely/compliant completion.
• Manages financial requirements of grants and government programs; liaises with agencies.
