Job summary

The role requires a Bachelor’s in supply chain or related field, strong Excel skills, and collaborative, autonomous work style. Travel up to 10% may be required as you support internal customers and supplier relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, purchasing, operations, or related field.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS-Office.
• Clear, courteous written and verbal communication.
• Strong collaboration with business partners in AP, IT, Audit, Legal, Ops, and Maintenance.
• Ability to work autonomously and stay organized with records.
• Strong analytical skills and swift decision-making.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for supplier visits.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety programs and company core values.
• Follow procurement protocol and processes.
• Evaluate internal requests, solicit bids, and issue Purchase Orders.
• Process requisitions, expedite orders, and confirm delivery dates.
• Bid goods/services to achieve best price, quality, and delivery for indirect commodities.
• Review Open Order and Past Due Reports for timeliness.
• Gather required information to complete purchases efficiently.
• Support senior procurement on special projects and supplier performance.
• Negotiate with suppliers for pricing and delivery; resolve quality issues.
• Create and report procurement metrics; interface with AP for invoice disputes.
• Guidance on supplier setup in Oracle; execute category strategies.
• Promote transactions to preferred supply base; assist with plant storeroom.
• Identify cost savings and cost avoidance via bids and negotiations.
