Job summary

Commonwealth Rolled Products in Lewisport, KY is seeking a Buyer to join the Non-Metals Procurement team. The role executes purchases for requisitions from Lewisport and Madison Heights locations, ensuring compliant, timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing.

You will evaluate requests, solicit bids, issue purchase orders, and work with AP to resolve invoices while driving process improvements and supplier performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Operations, or related field.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Collaborative with internal partners and strong conflict management.
• Autonomous and well organized with strong analytical ability.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Experience with Oracle purchasing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Health and Safety programs and drive safety culture.
• Evaluate internal purchase requests and solicit bids.
• Issue purchase orders and confirm delivery dates.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice disputes.
• Identify cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
• Support senior procurement staff on special projects.
