Job summary

Commonwealth Rolled Products, a leading aluminum rolled products manufacturer, is seeking a Buyer to execute purchases for Lewisport, KY and Madison Heights locations. The role focuses on requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier engagement to deliver cost-effective materials and services.

You will evaluate bids, negotiate terms, and support procurement processes across indirect commodities, while maintaining safety and compliance standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS-Office suite.
• Strong communication, written and oral.
• Collaborative with cross-functional partners such as AP, IT, Internal Audit, Legal, Operations, and Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Execute purchase activities including requisitions, purchase orders, expediting, and vendor confirmations.
• Source and bid goods/services, evaluate quotes for best price, quality and delivery.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve invoice disputes with Accounts Payable.
• Support supplier performance tracking, category strategies, and procurement process improvements.
• Train Commonwealth personnel in Oracle I-Procurement and related systems.
