The role focuses on quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and crafting competitive proposals while maintaining strong relationships with builders and general contractors throughout the estimating process.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a construction estimator
• Experience in painting, waterproofing, coatings, or related construction trades preferred
• Proficiency in reading plans, specifications, and project documents

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents for new construction projects
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates, proposals, and project budgets
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, vendors, suppliers, and customers
• Identify bid opportunities through procurement platforms and bid management systems
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for material pricing and quotations
• Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, project managers, and internal teams throughout estimating process
• Send estimates and proposals to customers and general contractors
• Maintain RFI logs, bid logs, and estimating databases
