Job summary

Verizon is seeking an Associate Director of Real Estate for the AI Connect team. The role oversees end-to-end site acquisition strategy for Inline Light Amplification (ILA) properties along long-haul fiber routes, negotiating land purchases and leases.

You will lead a team, manage regulatory compliance with FCC and local authorities, and collaborate across engineering and operations to deliver scalable, ethical connectivity solutions. Hybrid work arrangement with 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of relevant experience in real estate, telecom, or regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting experience for telecom infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-haul ILA site acquisition strategies including leases and land purchases.
• Direct drafting, due diligence, and execution of real estate contracts.
• Mentor a team of real estate and regulatory professionals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FCC, environmental, and municipal requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and external partners to align timelines.
