Job summary

The Village of Indiantown seeks a Financial Services Director (FSD) to lead budgeting, accounting, auditing, and financial reporting for the Village. The FSD serves as a financial advisor to the Village Manager, Mayor, and Village Council on planning and forecasting, ensuring robust financial management.

The role includes directing accounting, treasury, HR, payroll, risk management, purchasing, IT contracts, and oversight of Tyler ERP Pro and related modules while interpreting applicable laws

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or closely related field.
• A master's degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in governmental accounting and financial management, including senior-level roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and oversee budgeting, accounting, auditing, and financial reporting for the Village.
• Provide financial advisory services to Village leaders on planning, forecasting, and comprehensive financial management.
• Oversee treasury management, cash handling, HR, payroll, risk management, and purchasing; supervise IT support agreements and accounting systems.

Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business administration/economics

Master's degree preferred
