Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or business.
• 5+ years of payroll oversight experience across multi-state operations.
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with payroll systems and ERP integrations (CMiC or similar).
• CPP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end weekly payroll processing for multi-state operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations.
• Oversee payroll tax filings, deposits, and reconciliations across jurisdictions.
• Coordinate with Accounting, HR, and Operations to ensure accurate timekeeping and reporting.
• Establish payroll controls and validate payroll data; investigate discrepancies and escalate when needed.
• Partner with HR on employee setups, terminations, and benefits changes.
• Lead process improvements and document standardized payroll procedures.
