Job summary

Weatherford in Houston seeks an experienced MRP Planner to drive planning excellence. You will bridge production, engineering, procurement, and order management to align materials, resources, and capacities with customer delivery commitments.

This role offers the opportunity to optimize supply chain operations, solve scheduling challenges, and impact customer satisfaction in a dynamic, MRP-driven environment. Requires 5+ years in planning, ERP/MRP systems, and a related bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

5+ years planning/scheduling in an MRP-driven manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems.
Strong understanding of MRP principles.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
Professional certifications: CPP, CSCP, CPIM, or Sourcing Certificate.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production plans aligned with customer need dates and resources.
Process daily MRP/DRP messages and release work orders after clearing shortages.
Schedule new sales orders by assessing material and capacity.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify production needs and bottlenecks.
Monitor material availability and expedite critical items with Procurement.
Manage expedite/defer/cancel requests and communicate updates.
Evaluate overdue orders and adjust schedules accordingly.
Identify supply chain risks and collaborate to eliminate them.
Ensure plans comply with quality plans and TPI requirements.
Collaborate with engineering to incorporate ECN changes into schedules.
Provide regular planning metrics and propose process improvements to reduce lead times.
Maintain compliance with HSE, quality standards, and governance.
