Job summary

Ryerson Canada invites you to join a leading metals supplier with a long history of quality and service. As a Buyer, you will work with the Supply Chain Director to execute material plans and maintain MRP inputs at the item level.

You will manage vendor relationships, support supplier development, and ensure inventory levels align with sales goals in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's degree and knowledge of MRP or SAP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or manufacturing supply chain
• Understanding of MRP or inventory control systems
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
• Excellent organization to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with ability to collaborate across levels of management

Responsibilities

• Timely execution of MRP for internally sourced items and external buys
• Replenishment and stock service level review including expediting
• Manage inventory and redeploy slow-moving items
• Inventory investment management to support sales
• Maintain material part numbers and vendor records
• MRP adjustments to meet changing demand and business needs
• Manage vendor relationships and performance aligned with company goals
• All other duties as assigned or changed with notice
