Job summary

Safran Cabin in California is seeking a Planner to oversee all planning activities, producing schedules, material lists, and production plans to ensure on-time delivery of aircraft products.

The role requires 3+ years in production or materials planning, strong MRP/ERP knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings. You will coordinate BOMs, manage inventory, and support certification efforts while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in ERP/MRP environment.
• 3+ years of production or material planning experience.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 quality systems.
• MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule workflow for each workstation per manufacturing sequence.
• Control material requirements per BOM and production flow.
• Expedite operations to meet schedules and adjust plans as needed.
• Prepare production reports, productivity analyses, and delivery charts.
• Review engineering drawings and validate BOM quantities and make/buy decisions.
• Set up purchase requisitions and manage intercompany distribution orders.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet company goals.
• Support testing and certification requirements for new programs.
• Preserve engineering revision control and coordinate changes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced staff.
• Escalate complex issues to higher level staff when needed.
