Job summary

Safran in New York seeks a Demand Planning Manager to lead S&OP, develop the Master Production Schedule, and manage demand planning in ERP across global business lines. You will work with Sales Administration, Purchasing and Production to translate the strategic plan into executable schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years in materials management or planning, with strong MRP knowledge and ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 8+ years experience in materials management or materials and production planning.
• Experience running S&OP meetings monthly and setting up Demand Planning in ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of MRP and understanding of production plans.
• Supply Chain certification preferred (APICS, ISM or CPSM).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficient in Excel, planning tools and Power BI; interest in web development.
• Able to learn quickly, adapt to change, work independently, and document work effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Solid understanding of business operations and supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive S&OP process with Sales to assess opportunities and risks.
• Develop Master Production Schedule and adjust per S&OP inputs.
• Prepare data for S&OP and use it to create forecasts.
• Manage demand planning in ERP and monitor accuracy.
• Coordinate with Production Planner for new orders and inform Sales Admin of ship dates.
• Meet with Sales Administration for rescheduling requests and update ERP accordingly.
• Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain to identify issues for order rescheduling and execution.
