Job summary

CSX in Jacksonville, FL seeks a procurement professional to source materials and services for MRO needs. You will act as SME for major asset categories, manage RFX, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet CSX requirements.

You will lead cross-functional sourcing, interface with internal customers, oversee POs and invoices, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost reductions while staying aligned with CSX policies and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of experience in Purchasing/Procurement or related fields.
• Equivalent qualifications include High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience.
• Graduate degree is a plus with 1+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional sourcing and procurement for MRO.
• Interface with internal customers to determine requirements and identify suppliers.
• Generate RFIs or proposals; evaluate bids to determine best CSX solution.
• Negotiate contracts and shepherd them through the process.
• Manage purchasing workflow including POs and invoices.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities within the company.
• Identify qualified suppliers and monitor performance.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends via market research.
• Serve as SME on MRO needs and primary contact for supplier reps.
• Ensure contract language aligns with policy.
• Manage quality and supply issues for MRO.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
