Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Deer Valley, AZ seeks a Military Avionics Principal Systems Engineer to own systems across the lifecycle, partnering with a global team to meet customer needs and drive strategic growth. You will guide lifecycle activities from business development through product end of life.

Responsibilities include leading SE planning, requirements flow-down, test strategy, and design reviews, while mentoring junior engineers across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or similar technical field.
• 10+ years' experience working on avionics products (FMS/AFCS/CMF).
• Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and orchestrate a diverse team for technical execution and risk management.
• Develop Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP).
• Perform flow-down requirement analysis and test strategy development.
• Lead system documents: System requirements, Interface Control Document, SRS, Test Plans and Procedures, Certification docs.
• Lead system validation, verification, and integration activities.
• Lead design team meetings with internal/external customers, and lead trade studies.
• Partner with Project Engineer on cost, schedule, and WBS management.
• Manage stakeholders and support market growth with technical input during pursuits.
