Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking an experienced Commercial Buyer to join our Commercial Sales team in Chattanooga. You will manage a portfolio of Commercial, Industrial, and Dealer accounts for both Ferrous and Non-Ferrous materials, using strong negotiation and relationship skills to grow volume and profitability.

You will negotiate pricing and service agreements, identify new business partners, and maintain accurate records of purchasing activities while ensuring compliance with all regulatory

Qualifications

• Post secondary degree in Sales, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated buying/selling skills and product knowledge.
• Strong contract negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to generate and qualify leads and close deals.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and to prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Purchase ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals to grow margins, volume, and market share.
• Deepen market share by securing new commercial, industrial, and dealer accounts.
• Purchase materials following market conditions and pricing models set by GM and National Sales Team.
• Conduct supplier visits and sales activities to strengthen relationships and stay informed on market conditions.
• Maintain knowledge of environmental regulations relevant to purchase and processing of materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure repeat business.
• Contribute to regional purchasing, marketing, and profitability goals.
• Maintain accurate records for purchasing and prospecting activities.
• Collaborate with facility GMs to inspect scrap metals for specs and pricing targets.
